Travel With Me

"Not all those who wander are lost!"

20May

So much to do!

I first thought of this trip on New Years Eve. It came to me while I was in the Driftwood Spars in St. Agnes on New Years Eve, hence the picture.

Drive the van to Greece. Pick-up family from one of the airports... have a villa for a couple of weeks... drive back. Sounds great!

So much planning, preparation and logistics. I'm not intending on sleeping in the van - except when I dont have much of a choice. But I've fitted it out so I can if I need to.

I'm taking a range of tents with me. A big tent if I stay anywhere for a few days, a small robust 3 man tent I can put up quickly and an ultra lightweight tent (if I go cycling for a couple of days). This also means I have to have appropriate, sleeping bags, air beds etc.

With tickets for the Chelsea flower show on the 22 May and Christophers birthday on the 14th of July it gave me a window to be away!

Managed to get the van serviced before I went away, couple of new tyres and an oil change. Should be good for the journey. A small leak from the gearbox will be fixed when the seal is replaced on the 15th of July. I'm luckily covered by the AA in Europe.
