Day 40 - Montaurox - Mornant - 1st July 2024

Up @8.30 am.

Had used the small tent so packed away quickly. Paid and left. The couple trying to make a go of the campsite have a big task in front of them... lots of evidence of it being closed or not looked after for a while.

Drove towards Lyon. Picked up some diesel.

Found a nice campsite called "La Trillonniere" about 20km from Lyon in a place called Mornant. Plan on staying here for 2 nights.

I think 2 nights were 42 Euros. No pool but it's a lovely campsite.

Cycled into Mornant to have a look around. Van still shows evidence of the Saharan rain.

Found a Pizza place in Mornant as not much else seemed to be open on Monday evening. Put the Pizza in my pannier bag but not horizontally. By the time I'd got back to the campsite quite a lot of the cheese and ham had run out of the Pizza box!

Had a few beers - finished the small bottle of Ouzo and paid the Credit Card Bill. Amazing what you can do from a field in France.
