Day 41 - Mornant - 2nd July 2024

Up late. Possibly the combined affect of the beer\Ouzo and it being cool enough to sleep in past 8.00 am.!

Charged everything up as I had a Electrical Hook Up (EHU).

Went for a Komoot cycle.

Lovely countryside though the weather was a bit gray, 

The route was quite off-road and even with the eBike quite tiring. So I headed back to the campsite for a lateish lunch.

Used some of the Pasta and Dolmio sun-dried tomato sauce. Very nice.

Then another Komoot cycle. I picked on-road this time but it was even more off-road than the morning one. Views of Lyon in the distance.

Brought me past the remains of a Roman viaduct which carried water into Lyon 15 to 20 km away! 

By the time I got back to the campsite I had completed my weekly cycling target.

There is a music festival in the village tonight so a quick shower and I walked into the village (or rather up into the village).

It was a bit like the scouts at the Downley barbecue. I even managed chips and a beer - with tomato ketchup.

Tired - walked back to the campsite.

You do have to keep your eyes open for hitchhikers!

Even though I'm using Komoot for my cycles. There are loads of well marked trails - you just follow the numbers. This was directly outside the campsite.

Wrote up some notes. Don't like to leave it for more than 2 or 3 days or I forget!
