Day 32 - Igoumenista - 23rd June 2024

Woke very early @ 6.30 am.

Plan was to cycle a Komoot route near to the campsite. It was described as "Expert" but with the eBike will be fine....

Left the campsite around 9.30 am. post breakfast. The ride started from Plataria which is a couple of miles down the road and where I got my "supplies" from.

The route went up and up and up. You got a view of the Elenas beach campsite from across the bay.

The route went past a massive rubbish tip. Then the road became less of a road and more of a gravel track!

It continued upwards and past deserted villages.

Came round a bend and met some hikers. They were so surprised to see me they took photos\videos!

Eventually went down a bit and came round and back to Plataria.

Stopped for a bun and a Freddo Cappuccino which came with some ice-cream!

Then back to the campsite for the normal swim\drink etc. Even used a lemon I'd found on my travels.

Watched the football with the Germans in the restaurant area.

Had a lovely veal meal... again the best food I've had in Greece and very reasonably priced!

Tomorrow the ferry - here comes Italy!

Watched the footy for a bit Germany\Swizz then left just before Germany scored (1-1).

Cold shower before bed as was still @ 30C
