Woke up about 7.30 am. Which was perfectly acceptable as I'd gone to sleep @9.30/10.00 pm.
Had a good night sleep as I used my silk sleeping bag liner directly n top of the relatively cool airbed. By the middle of the night it had cooled to the point that I was in the duvet... just feet firstb then all of me!
Used the electric heating plate to make a very nice Capaccunio and one of those Oat burst jobbies.
The trick to stop them looking like sick is just put less water in them.
Tidied the van up a bit after the Serbian escapades. Still can't find the lost banannas...
Then got ready to go for a cycle. Nothing really planned but thought I'd head in the direction of Litchoro as Catherine and I stayed there 35 years ago... pre-kids.
Rescued a frog from the toilet bowl before I left. I'm pretty sure it could get out by itself as it jumped and stuck way up the wall!
Lovely along the coast.
The early morning cloud has burnt off and it's blue sky and sun... lots of sun.
Perhaps I should have put some sun tan cream on. It was about this point thay 2 or 3 big dos started chasing me! Turbo mode engaged but they can run fast for a short distance so I had a big snarling dog by my side. They gave up after about 100 metres which I think I covered faster than Usain Bolt!
As I cycled towards the A1 I could see a tortoise trying to cross the road. While it wasn't a busy road I stopped and helped it across. Over the A1 and I can Litichoro is signposted 5 km away.
Thats 5km uphill.
Even on an eBike in this heat that was not easy going so Turbo engaged at various times again!
Litichoro seems much more of a tourist town now than when we arrived by bus 35 years ago with no mobile phones and just what we could carry!
A nice cold beer was required!
Then the food looked good so I had some grilled chicken. It was!
Little cycle around Litichoro and then downhill. Turned the eBike off for 6km.
There was a small port.
I went in and looked about... some people fishing from the pier using mussels (small ones as bait). Seemed to be catching things. I might try that later in the holiday as I've brought my fishing gear.
Cycling back I avoided the dogs and stopped for a Freddo caapucino at one of the other campsite bars. Which was also lovely.
Now back at camp recharging the eBike and the phone. It's so hot the phone overheats when it fast charges and stops at 80%.
Still drinking the Hungarian beer I brought when I over Forinted.
Next is a swim on the newly cleaned beach.
The new Starlink WiFi has gone live (the owner has just given me the password). Lovely and fast.
Nice swim, shower and blog writing in the bar with fast WiFi and a cold beer whats not to like?
Will phone Ludlow family and then bed.
